Born in Scotland to a family of five children, Marcus Brownlee emigrated to the United States with his parents in 1979. He grew up immersed in the trades, the kind of work where precision matters and shortcuts are never acceptable. That upbringing shaped everything that followed.
Over a long career spanning general contracting, residential construction, and project management, Marcus built both a deep expertise and a clear set of values. In 2015, he channeled those years into founding Stonebridge Builders, a company designed from the start to treat every client's project with the same seriousness and care he would give his own.
Today Marcus oversees Stonebridge's strategic direction while staying close to the craft. He is settled with his wife and children and remains as committed to building right as he was on day one.
Sean Timmer is a US native, born and raised in Illinois. Before joining Stonebridge, he completed two tours of duty with the US Army in Iraq under Operation Iraqi Freedom, an experience that shaped the discipline and attention to detail he brings to every project. He joined Marcus just four months after Stonebridge was founded in 2015, becoming a cornerstone of its early growth.
Today Sean serves as Co-Founder and Head of Operations and Client Relations. He is the primary point of contact for clients throughout the build process, from the first consultation through the final walk-through. Clients work directly with Sean, which means decisions get made quickly and nothing falls through the cracks.
Though his family is based in Illinois, Sean travels wherever Stonebridge's projects take him. Whether you're building in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, or Illinois, Sean is there.
